UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH
West Lafayette, Indiana

The New Building

In August, 2006, after years of study, discussion, and considering many different alternatives, the congregation reached an agreement with St. Andrew Methodist Church to buy their church building on Meridian Street in West Lafayette.

We moved in as of September, 2007.  The last service on the 7th Street building was September 23, 2007.  The first service in the new building was on September 30.

333 Meridian Street
West Lafayette, IN  47906

There is a sanctuary, social hall, kitchen and 12 classrooms.  There is a large amount of office space - no more people working in the hallways!  The space is handicapped accessible except for two classrooms.  The oldest part of the church is about 50 years old, which the newest part was built in the 1990's.

  • Ample religious education space.
  • Separate social hall.
  • More bathrooms
  • Storage space
  • Green Space and Playground

Model of new building on display   The sanctuary seats 220-240 comfortably - almost double our former sanctuary. The Methodists have taken the large cross in the sanctuary, some of stained glass windows and sanctuary organ.  The sanctuary has some additional Christian symbolism, but we have a very congregation who will be able to modify the space to reflect our diversity.
